Awesome Paws offers professional handling services on a limited basis. For those who cannot compete with their own dogs for various reasons, Linda Mecklenburg is available for handling services. Because her handling system is based on cues that dogs naturally respond to, Linda is often able to handle dogs successfully that she herself has not trained. Each dog is considered on an individual basis.

Linda handled dogs for Sue Klar for over ten years. She was successful with many Pembroke Welsh Corgis owned by Sue. Kayla was the most accomplished, earning her MAD, RM, SM and JM in USDAA. She only needed two Gamblers legs to finish her ADCH, but she was forced to retire before she was able to do that. She achieved the highest titles in AKC at the time, the MX and MXJ. Kayla's biggest success was a 3rd place finish at the AKC National Championships in 1997.

Linda successfully handled Sue Klar's BC Zesta from 1999 - 2007. During that time she earned multiple titles including MACH 5 and ADCH and several top placements at both the USDAA and AKC National Championships. She was the Performance National Standard Champion and the Performance Versatility Pairs National Champion in 2005.

Many dogs have competed successfully with Linda handling on a more temporary basis. Most often she fills in when there is a short-term need for handling help as handler injuries do occur and sometimes handlers are unable to travel to certain events due to other commitments.
